The Guitar Classes under the direction of Mr. Deluca & Mr. Jordan, are two of the most popular electives at Francis Lewis. In the beginning Guitar classes, students are taught from the very beginning how to read notes, play basic chords, and perform fun, challenging music together as a class. Students can fulfill their one year music requirement by taking this class.

    The Advanced Guitar Class is available for students who have experience playing guitar and can read music.
Classical, finger-picking, jazz, rock, and blues are examples of the styles of music that are taught. In addition, basic music theory, improvisation, and ear-training are explored. Students can fulfill their one year music requirement by taking this class.
